Vacationing in Rome is Not for Wimps

We had two goals today...to get my pedal issue taken care of, and tour the City of the Vatican.  By 11:00, we had had a wonderful cappuccino and were scouring the map looking for a couple of bike shops Farfa had told us about.  After asking 5 willing, generous locals for directions with our impossible Italian, we found BBikes, owned by Robert Kovacevic.  Grazie, grazie, grazie!  These guys were wonderful...they didn't have any Crank Bros. pedals, but they did have a set of Spds that would work.  Robert told us about a huge bike event he will be riding in this weekend at Villa Borghese.  He even gave us cycling caps that he had made for the event.  He knew Portland, Oregon and said he strives to be a company like Chris King...rewarding his employees with vacation time and health club memberships.  He kept saying his English was terrible, but we managed to understand...in cycling, some things are universal.

  1. It is good to know that your pedal has been replaced and you are into the ups and downs of touring. Farfa sounds great. Happy adventuring today! Theresa
